Dawn says on Heidelberg:yle="font-family: 'lucida grande' tahoma verdana arial sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;">We live on post in Patrick Henry Village. Our apartment is nice. Hardwood floors. Washer and Dryer in our apartment and both 110 and 220 electrical plugs. Things are little spread out here. Commissary is on Patrick Henry Village but the PX is about 10 minutes away. Campbell Barracks is about 15 minutes away. If I can answer any questions please feel free to contact me.

yle="font-family: 'lucida grande' tahoma verdana arial sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;">We traveled here with our 56 pound dog. It cost us 225.00 to fly him on our flight over with us. You have to take him to the vet within 10 days of flying to get his health certificate. It cost us 30.00 at the vet on post. We are allowed 2 pets in housing. The housing is nice. I would be happy to send you pics if you would like. There is so much to do over here. I am loving Germany. There is castles gardens bike tours and shopping of course. The weather is cold in the winter and warm in the summer from what I am told. We got here at the end of September. It was nice weather then. We have had snow since Thanksgiving here. Do you know what unit your husband will be going to? Do you have children and need school information?

yle="font-family: 'lucida grande' tahoma verdana arial sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;">The housing does depend on your rank. Most E7's and above live off post. The weather is nice. Cold in the winter but itis suppose to be nice in the spring and summer. They are updating the apartments on post. They have hardwood floors and both 110 and 220v plugs ceiling fans in each room.

yle="font-family: 'lucida grande' tahoma verdana arial sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;">the weather can get really hot in summer but there are also bad thunderstorms possible
april is funny... its a very moody month sometimes we have sun and its pretty warm and the next day it starts getting cold again and then we get snow... but last year april was very nice very warm

yle="font-family: 'lucida grande' tahoma verdana arial sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;">i cant help you out with the base in heidelberg since my bf is stationed in schweinfurt and currently deployed but i can help you out with german problems and issues cause i am german ;)

We are scheduled to pcs in January 2011. We are fairly new to the military and this will be our second move, so any helpful information will be greatly appreciated.
